Slush Profile is the user level concept of Slush. Every Slush wallet has a profile. Each profile can hold one or multiple accounts.
Adding a phone number or email to your Slush profile lets your accounts and settings follow you to every device where you use Slush — including your phone, the browser extension, and the web app. You sign in once with a phone number or email, your accounts are imported automatically, and your preferences are already in place.
This is optional. Prior to adding a phone number or email, that profile is only connected to the device you're using. You can keep using Slush without adding a phone number or email, and your wallet works exactly the same — adding one simply connects your devices and unlocks exclusive features. Once you add one:
- Your accounts are linked to your profile and imported automatically on any device where you sign in.
- Your preferences come with you, so every device looks and feels the same.
- For your security purposes, imported accounts arrive locked. You unlock each one by signing in with its passphrase, private key, or social login — your secrets are still entered on each device and are never stored by Slush.
Your keys stay yours. Slush will not store or back up your private keys — they never leave your device. Your phone number and email are not publicly linked to your wallet addresses.
What follows you across devices
Once your profile has a phone number or email, these come with you to every device:
- Your accounts — imported automatically (locked until you sign in to each one).
- Account names — any nicknames you've added.
- Appearance — your theme (light or dark) and color.
- Sound — your sound and vibration settings.
- Connected apps — the apps you've connected to your wallet.
You can set appearance and sound from Profile → Settings → Personalize, and choose to apply them to one account or all of your accounts. Device-specific settings — like network, auto-lock, and developer options — stay on each device.
Adding a phone number or email
- Open the Profile tab and tap Authentication.
- Tap Add phone number or Add email address.
- Enter your phone number or email and tap Save changes.
- We'll send you a 6-digit code by text or email. Enter it to confirm. The code is valid for 10 minutes.
Your profile is now connected. You can add both a phone number and an email if you'd like a second way to sign in.
Signing in on a new device
When you set up Slush on a new device:
- On the welcome screen, tap Get started.
- Enter the same phone number or email you added to your profile, then tap Send Code. Use Switch to email or Switch to phone to change the method.
- Enter the 6-digit code we send you.
- You'll see a Welcome back screen, and your accounts will be imported automatically.
- Each account that is newly imported to the device starts locked. Tap Unlock account (or Sign in to unlock) and enter its passphrase, private key, or social login to start using it.
Changing a phone number or email
- Go to Profile → Authentication and open Manage phone number or Manage email address.
- Tap Edit.
- Confirm it's you by entering the 6-digit code sent to your current phone number or email.
- Enter the new phone number or email, then confirm it with a second 6-digit code.
If you enter a phone number or email that's already on another profile, you'll be asked to use a different one.
Removing a phone number or email
If your profile has both a phone number and an email, you can remove one and keep the other:
- Go to Profile → Authentication and open Manage phone number or Manage email address.
- Tap Remove and confirm with the 6-digit code we send.
You'll no longer be able to use that phone number or email to sign in, but you can still sign in and import your accounts with the one that remains.
Removing your last phone number or email
Removing the only phone number or email on your profile disconnects your devices, but keeps you signed in into the device that triggered the removal. Before you confirm, Slush asks you to acknowledge that:
- You'll lose the ability to sync accounts and preferences across your devices
- You'll lose access to all features that require phone or email verification
- All accounts and preferences configured on this device will be unaffected
- Other devices will be reset to onboarding and accounts must be re-imported manually
Adding an account
Your profile can hold several accounts. To add one:
- Open the Profile tab and tap Accounts.
- Tap + (or Add another) and choose how to add it:
- Social login — Google, Apple, Facebook, or Twitch
- Passphrase — create a new 12-word recovery phrase, or import an existing one
- Private key — import an account using its private key
- Ledger — connect your hardware wallet
New accounts are added to your profile and appear on your other devices automatically when you sign in with your phone number or email.
Removing an account
- Open the account's settings (the gear icon), then tap Remove.
- Confirm to remove it.
Your assets aren't affected — removing an account only takes it out of Slush. The account is removed on your other devices that you have connected with your phone number or email automatically.
Signing out
When you sign out:
- If you've added a phone number or email, you can get everything back by signing in again with it.
- If you haven't, Slush shows your recovery phrase and/or private key and asks you to confirm you've saved them before resetting — without them, the account can't be restored.
You'll find Sign out under Profile → Advanced.
